Eating Local in Maine

Our first lunch out. We stopped by Larson's, a roadside lobster shack on Main St. in Maine.  Best lobster rolls around.

Look at that hunka hunka burnin lobstah love
yum

At the mention of lobster, Ty jams his thumbs into his eyeballs to stave off the nausea
He opted for his fave
cheeseburger and fries
Voted "Best Cheeseburger of the Vacation"

Jack loves his lobster as much as the next guy
but took advantage of the food green light the
oh so benevolent mommy
had granted for our vacation
chicken fingers with sweet and sour sauce

The bittersweet ending to our last meal in Maine...

s'mores

more s'mores
not kiddie porn

s'more tide pools, s'more sunshine, s'more lobstah rolls, even s'more mosquitos
just let us stay a little longer

  2. Very sweet. I'm with Ty - shellfish makes me sick so you were talking lobster and I was getting nauseated and was pleased at the other choices.

Did y'all try the granola? I have to tell you that your kids' pickiness is a challenge to me. I keep thinking "Would Michelle's kids eat this?" and of course I don't really know but usually "no" is my answer to myself.

  3. Man, your kids are gorgeous. And what's a "lobster roll?"

Your fairy is called Columbine Icedancer
She is a bone chilling bringer of justice for the vulnerable.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen when the bees swarm and the crickets chirrup.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has icy blue butterfly wings.
