Sundays In My City

electric windows

this was really cool

we live in a town full of artists

who painted new murals
for the old factory building
down at the end of main st

mia was absolutely fascinated
being the artist that she is

it was a perfect summer day

the murals were painted on saturday

and hung on sunday

how lucky are we
to live in a town like this?

come up and see us some time

also visit Unknown Mami

  1. Super-duper lucky. I love her hat too. She's so cool. Like her mama.

  2. WOW! Those murals are fantastic! I love seeing urban art at its best like this. Thanks for sharing Sundays in your city!

  5. That. Is brilliant. The factory looks absolutely stunning with all the murals up.

  6. You are indeed lucky. So freaking cool. LOVE the sunflower/skull. creeptastic.

  7. You are very lucky. But the real beauty is Mia.

  8. That is so friggin' cool!

Mia is as beautiful as ever.

  9. I'd love to come up and see you some time -- and that Mia is so beautiful -- such style in her stance, her hat, her beautiful profile and hair --

  10. WOW, you ARE lucky to live there!
It's great how art is done and used like this.
    SIMC greetings from Casablanca!

  11. Amazing and beautiful......and Mia...looks fabulous in that wide brim sun hat.

  12. Mia is so adorable in her dress.

It is indeed a very cool town.

  13. What a fabulous community project! I love the colors and the variety and the overall coolness of the idea. I wish Los Angeles did something like that!
    Happy SIMC,

Makes me want to get out the paints today!!!!!!

  15. What a brilliant idea. I love it when a community rallies to create beauty - and that is pure beauty. (so is Mia - oh how she wears that hat.)

The sunshine/skull does make me pause though. I'm thinking that's going to revisit me in a nightmare very soon.

  16. oh wow, I agree. I loved seeing Mia so enthralled at each piece, wonder what was going through her head.
    so fun.
    thanks for sharing these.

so... wadaya think?

Your fairy is called Columbine Icedancer
She is a bone chilling bringer of justice for the vulnerable.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen when the bees swarm and the crickets chirrup.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has icy blue butterfly wings.
